The sales team promotes Montréal as an event destination to the convention, meeting, conference, motivational trip and sporting competition market. Through active convention or sporting competition research, international delegations, site inspection and scouting visits, and business intelligence, Tourisme Montréal creates commercial opportunities for its members so that they may benefit from privileged access to clients.
The convention sales team actively supports professional meeting organizers throughout the entire planning process and implements promotional initiatives to build attendance at their events. It coordinates some 400 groups and over 200,000 delegates per year.

Digital platforms and toolkits
Tourisme Montréal launched a new digital platform in the summer of 2018 to give Montréal greater visibility among meeting, convention and sporting events planners. Our goal is to provide professional event planners, sports events organizers and local influencers with a new, in-depth look at the city. Our platforms not only showcase the city’s cutting-edge character, but prove that it is chic, safe, accessible and teeming with festivals, culture and entertainment.
For our business market, we use social media to promote meetings and events taking place in Montréal and stay in touch with participants from different professional backgrounds.
